Consumer Narrative
I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding multiple accounts that have been improperly reported by the credit bureau on my my credit report without providing me the option to dispute the debt, as is my right under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) required by 12 CHR 1006,34 ( D ( 3 ), yet they have proceeded to place unauthorized accounts on my consumer report. This omission denies me the opportunity to verify the accuracy of the debt they claim I owe. 2. I have not been afforded the opportunity to dispute the account in accordance with 12 CER 1006.34 ( c ) ( 4 ) ( 1 ). This denial of the dispute process deprives me of my right to challenge any inaccuracies or discrepancies regarding the alleged debts. The credit bureaus has resorted to false, misleading, and deceptive means in their reporting efforts, thereby violating my consumer rights. Such unethical practices undermine the integrity of the debt collection process and cause undue distress to consumers. 2.Furthermore, the agency lacks the authority to furnish any account to consumer reporting agencies without adhering to the necessary disclosures mandated by law. By neglecting to fulfill their obligations under 12 CER 1006.34 ( d ) and 15 USC 1681-S 2 ( 7 ) ( A ) .The credit bureau is flagrantly disregarding consumer protection statutes. I did not receive any notice from unauthorized accounts on my consumer report providing me the opportunity to dispute the validity of this debt within 30 days, as required by law. Additionally, I have attempted to submit supporting documents proving that my information was compromised in the Equifax breach and documents proving that I am a victim of identity theft. This has caused significant harm to my credit score and has resulted in undue financial and emotional stress. I kindly request that the CFPB investigate this matter, as I believe these accounts were reported without following the proper legal procedures. Additionally, I request that the credit bureau remove these account 's from my credit report and cease all collection efforts immediately.
