I am submitting this complaint to report serious violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) committed by Equifax, Experian, and certain data furnishers. As a direct victim of the XXXX Equifax data breach, my personal information including my Social Security number and date of birth was unlawfully accessed. Following this breach, fraudulent accounts and unauthorized hard inquiries have appeared on my credit reports without my knowledge or consent. Despite submitting a proper identity theft report, proof of my identity, a list of the fraudulent information, and a statement affirming that these accounts were not initiated by me, the bureaus have failed to promptly and thoroughly address my disputes in accordance with 15 U.S. Code 1681c-2 ( a ). Issues Presented : Equifax and Experian failed to block or remove fraudulent accounts and inquiries after receiving all required documentation. Improper use of automated dispute handling systems ( XXXX ) despite my explicit request for a manual reinvestigation under 15 U.S. Code 1681i ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ). Formal acknowledgment of the receipt of my documentation and a response within 4 days.
