I was in a rental contract from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. I submitted notice to vacate within the prescribed window. I vacated the premises on XX/XX/XXXX and paid a prorated amount of {$220.00} for these XXXX days in XX/XX/XXXX, since they refused to speak with me prior to my departure date despite multiple attempts. I also left the electric in my name through XX/XX/XXXX. Today, I have responded to a phone call from Aldous and Associates requesting payment of debt. They informed me that the debt included the following. 1. Remaining rent for XX/XX/XXXX, which is not owed because I vacated on time. 2. Electrical bill, which is not owed. I have a clear balance on the account at that address with XXXX XXXX and have transferred service to my new residence. 3. Carpet cleaning charge which I have repeatedly told them that I will accept if they submit that individual bill, approximately {$130.00}. Both the management at XXXX XXXX and the representative at Aldous have refused to present itemized bills and insist that I pay it all in full. Aldous states that I must request a Debt Verification packet for any investigation to be done to resolve this issue. I am currently preparing that request. I do not think it is fair treatment for a company to be able to arbitrarily submit an unjust amount for collection and then harass individuals into submission. As I have repeatedly stated, I am perfectly willing to pay the final bill when it is submitted to me properly by XXXX XXXX. I also firmly expect that XXXX XXXX and it's contacts remove any derogatory information that they have submitted about me to any service, including the credit reporting system.
