I got a credit card through XXXX XXXX XXXX through XXXX XXXX. The limit granted was XXXX. I paid my monthly credit card bill on time except for once I was a day late. XXXX the proceeded to harass me and threaten to block me from using the card, by sending multiple texts and emails and phone calls. I did not use the card much, just wanted to pay the dept off. I did however try to use the card recently and it was declined even though I had almost XXXX on it available. When I called they said I had a negative payment history with them that wasn't true. When I asked for them to explain their reasoning they said it was because I paid more than the monthly payment. I was appalled that they would penalize me for paying off my dept, so I decided to just pay off the account and be over with it. So I paid XXXX dollars ( the remaining balance ) on XXXX XXXX, and asked that a letter showing my card was officially closed. Well it has been almost XXXX weeks now and they closed the account on XXXX ( my credit dashboard ) and they are saying I owe them XXXX and that I am delinquent and have not paid the remaining dept, and has caused my credit score to drop. They also sent me another bill ( it does say I owe XXXX dollars however they charge and annual fee of XXXX. They have not been pleasant to work with and now they are punishing me for paying off the card.
