On XX/XX/year>, I sent {$20.00} through XXXX to a friend to verify his account. Once confirmed, I sent {$4900.00} on XX/XX/year>, for car parts and repairs. When my friend could not provide the parts, he agreed to return the money. However, XXXX locked his account ( and mine ) under " loss prevention '' for over a year. Throughout that time, I consistently contacted XXXX via calls and emails, often on recorded XXXX calls with my friend, where he clearly confirmed the funds belonged to me and should be returned to me. XXXX denied my initial dispute due to an alleged " filing error '' but never properly returned my funds. After the freeze period, I believe XXXX issued the refund check to my friend 's account instead of mine, even after multiple confirmations from both of us that the funds were mine. To this day, I have not received my {$4900.00} back. I have provided full verification, email communications, and recorded phone call evidence to XXXX. This money was my tax refund at the time, and XXXX wrongfully failed to return it to the correct party despite overwhelming proof.
