On XX/XX/XXXX, my credit score update from my XXXX XXXX monitoring showed a significant decrease in my credit score. Upon investigation, I saw that my Capital One credit card, which I've had for about 11 years and has never been delinquent, was no longer showing on my credit report. On XX/XX/XXXX, I mailed a dispute by certified mail asking Capital One to report my credit card to the credit reporting agencies and included printouts of each credit report to indicate where my credit card was missing. On XX/XX/XXXX, I was notified that a case was opened. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter that my credit bureau file was deleted after being " thoroughly investigated. '' On XX/XX/XXXX, I called the phone number on the letter. The representative said that it was deleted back in XXXX due to a " business decision, '' then was temporarily reinstated, and then deleted again. She would not give me any additional information, escalate the issue, or transfer me to a legal department. Again on XX/XX/XXXX, I called with my husband also on the line. The woman we spoke to repeated that the trade line was deleted due to a " business decision '' and also said she could not share additional information. When we mentioned possibly pursuing legal action due to the significant impact on my credit score, she said she would escalate the dispute, gave us a new dispute number, and said we would receive a call within 10 business days. We did not receive any calls back. On XX/XX/XXXX, we called Capital One customer service and were told again that it was a " business decision '' and that they can not provide any more information, reinstate the trade line, or transfer us to a legal department. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called XXXX to see if I could file a dispute via the credit bureaus and was told that Capital One would need to report my credit card and that they can't do anything from their end.
