I enrolled in a debt relief program through Freedom Financial Network in XX/XX/year>. As part of the program, XXXX XXXX XXXX was assigned to handle legal matters related to any debts included in the program. I have contributed over {$32000.00} into the program. Recently, ( Early XXXX ) I was served with a warrant in debt from a creditor included in the program ( XXXX ). Despite reaching out to XXXX XXXX XXXX for over a month via phone and email, I received no legal support. I made multiple calls to client services and was repeatedly told different timelines ( 2448 hours, then 35 business days ). Each time I was told my request had been escalated, but I never received help. Eventually, I was given an email address for the assigned attorney, who never responded until I filed complaints with the XXXX XXXX XXXX and the XXXX XXXX XXXX. Only then did she respond, stating she was resigning and overwhelmed with workload, after ignoring my emails for over a month. This same creditor had previously offered a settlement through the program, and I had already been charged attorney/legal settlement fees related to that. The settlement fell through due to slow deposit clearance, not my unwillingness to settle. Now Im being sued, and Ive been told I need to attend court with no legal help and ask for a continuance myself. This is unacceptable and completely defeats the purpose of the program. Despite paying into this program for nearly two years, including fees for legal services, Im now left unrepresented while being sued. I have consulted outside counsel and filed complaints, but I am demanding accountability from both XXXX and Freedom Financial.
