I am submitting this formal complaint regarding inaccurate and harmful information being reported by Equifax on my credit report. Equifax is currently reporting a collection account in the amount of {$1200.00} from XXXX XXXX XXXX, allegedly connected to XXXX XXXX Bank. I am writing to dispute this reporting, as I have no knowledge of this debt and have never held any account with either XXXXXXXX XXXX or XXXX XXXX Bank related to this amount. Attached to this complaint is a letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX clearly stating that there is no record of any account or collection activity associated with my name or Social Security number in their office. This letter confirms that the account should not exist and should never have been reported to any of the credit bureaus. As such, I am requesting the immediate deletion of this erroneous collection account from my Equifax credit report, and ask that the CFPB take appropriate action to ensure that XXXX complies with the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) by only reporting accurate and verifiable information.
