Consumer Narrative

I am disputing an alleged debt that XXXX claims to be collecting on behalf of XXXX and XXXX XXXX. I received unsolicited emails referencing alleged accounts ( ending in XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX ), and I promptly submitted a formal dispute. XXXX requested I submit the dispute electronically and then rejected the dispute without providing any explanation in a response email. Instead, they required me to access the dispute results through their website, despite my clear request for information to be provided outside of a login portal. This practice is deceptive and obstructive, as it withholds essential information and burdens the consumer with having to use a third-party platform to obtain basic details about their own dispute. They later claimed the results were provided by email, but no documents were included in the message body or as traditional attachments. Instead, they included hyperlinks labeled as PDFs under an attachment ( s ) heading. These were not actual attachments but links hosted on a publicly viewable XXXX address. This presentation is misleading, as it falsely gives the appearance of secure, attached documentation while directing recipients to an external site. One of those XXXXhosted links led to a loan origination document from XXXX. However, the document was not physically attached or transmitted in a secure way it was accessible to anyone with the link, further undermining any claim that the information was secure. This also raises concerns about authenticity, document integrity, and consumer privacy. The loan origination document includes an itemized accounting of the debt, but it lacks a valid signature. The document states that by accepting the loan terms, it is considered as a signature, but there is no actual physical or electronic signature. Additionally, the document lacks a chain of assignment, proof of XXXX legal authority to collect, or evidence of permissible purpose under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) or the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). I explicitly requested physical copies of all documentation and that all electronic communication cease. XXXX has not complied with the mailing request, though they have ceased emailing me since that request. Until I receive proper debt validation by physical mail, I continue to dispute the validity of the alleged debts and request that all collection efforts cease. XXXX practices appear to violate the FDCPA and reflect a pattern of deceptive and nontransparent behavior. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX
