I raised the issue of possibly reporting in a lesser risk status to the credit agencies and was told that they would not do that unless forced to by a change. We are in an environment where risk can categorized and until a coborrower is impacted by a borrower non payment there should be a change to reflect this status within credit agencies. This is as simple as a new category on the data feed that would lessen risk and impact to credit scores. I would like to petition for this change but there is no path and so I am reaching out to cfpb to help millions with a relatively small change.
