I have a medical debt in collections on my credit reports. My understanding was that the new law was to go into effect on XXXX XXXX and that all medical debt would be removed from credit reports regardless of the amoun. I've been turned down for an auto loan because of that collection on top of the 30+ inquiries from car dealerships I had no idea were hard credit pulls I thought they were soft pulls. The medical debt From a hospital stay in XXXX for over {$1900.00} for x-rays from XXXX XXXX and the collection agency is XXXX. I called XXXX XXXX in numerous occasions and gave them my insurance info and they never billed them I had dual coverage at the time so had they billed it would have been paid in full. Once they sent me to collections I disputed again and just recently I've disputed it 4 times with no luck. Shouldn't it just be removed regardless now with this new law taking effect on XXXX XXXX. Please help it's really effecting my ability to get auto financing and I'm in a wheelchair and so is my wife. We're both XXXX and now have no transportation. Please help.
