I am filing this complaint because TransUnion has failed to remove 103 unauthorized and fraudulent hard inquiries from my credit report, despite multiple disputes and documentation I have submitted over the past several years. I did not authorize any of these inquiries. I submitted several written disputes to TransUnion, including : A full list of the unauthorized inquiries My government-issued ID Proof of address A copy of my FTC Identity Theft Report Detailed written statements explaining the situation TransUnion has either ignored my disputes, failed to respond meaningfully, or responded with vague form letters claiming the information was verified, without providing any actual verification. This is a clear violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), including but not limited to : Section 609, which gives me the right to know the source and authorization for each inquiry Section 611, which requires TransUnion to conduct a reasonable investigation and remove unverifiable or inaccurate information These fraudulent inquiries have negatively impacted my credit score, caused me to be denied credit, and caused significant emotional and financial stress. I have made every reasonable attempt to correct this directly with TransUnion and have now exhausted all other options. I am requesting that the CFPB require TransUnion to : Remove all 103 fraudulent inquiries from my credit report Provide written confirmation that these have been deleted Investigate how TransUnion allowed these inquiries to remain on my report after being notified of fraud and receiving proper documentation Please help enforce my rights under federal law and compel TransUnion to follow the FCRA. Ive going through this with transition of 4 years. They have yet to listen to my concerns after telling me what to do I always comply but they never help me.
