I am filing this complaint against Experian for reporting and failing to remove fraudulent accounts from my credit file, despite my request under Section 605C of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). The following accounts, which were fraudulently opened in my name due to identity theft, are incorrectly appearing on my credit report : XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX Number : XXXX XXXX XXXX Account Number : XXXX XXXX XXXX Account Number : XXXX. I have no knowledge of these accounts, did not authorize them, and have never conducted any transactions associated with them. I have already notified Experian that these accounts are fraudulent and requested that they be blocked from my credit report under FCRA 605C, which requires consumer reporting agencies to remove identity theft-related accounts upon request and verification. Despite my request, Experian has failed to properly investigate and remove these fraudulent accounts, causing harm to my credit profile. I am requesting the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) to take action to ensure Experian complies with the Fair Credit Reporting Act and removes these fraudulent accounts from my report immediately.
