In XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX owed me a refund and never paid. After getting my bank involved my claim was honored and credit issued based on the email from XXXX stating they were going to issue me a refund. Now XX/XX/XXXX I received an email from a thrid-party creditor, TrueAccord, demanding payment for a balance owed to XXXX for the exact amount. They want my telephone number, address and all of my personal information. They were recording the call and so was I but the supervisor immediately discontinued the call after I advised him I was recording. Also he refused to provide contact information so that I could escalate my issue further. The whole thing was very suspicious and I am afraid XXXX has sold my information to the dark web. I am very concerned and my information being safeguarded. I have had 5 letters mailed to me about my data being breached in the last 6 months and it never tells me which company 's data was breached! Only offering to monitor my credit.
