Consumer Narrative
This account is on my credit report and I have disputed this account about accuracy over 13 times ( XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX ). Each time I've asked for information, this company refused to send me what I need to verify that this account belongs to me. They even have XXXX listed as a point of contact even though they are the company trying to collect the debt. XXXX told me that they couldn't find the account in question owing the amount listed by Credit Collection Services on my credit report. Here 's what I asked Credit Collection Services for : Credit Collection Services XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, MA XXXX To Whom It may Concern : There is an item on my credit report under the name of Credit Collection Services, and it's original creditors is XXXX for the amount of {$180.00} that does not have an account number. Under 15USC 1692 G ( my rights as a consumer ), I am entitled to asking any creditor that's accusing me of owing something to ask for a Validation of Debt. I need the following to be sent immediately to my email address XXXX and XXXX : 1. Documentation of the name of the original creditors as well as the name of the current creditor or owner of this alleged debt ( it wasn't clear on my credit report at first ) 2. An itemized account of the amount claimed to be owed including the amount of the principal, the amount of interest, fees, or charges, and if the charges were imposed by the original creditor, debt collector, or a subsequent owner of the debt ( XXXX have no record of said debt so how do I know that this debt belongs to me? ) 3. The last account number with the original credit ( there isn't one listed on my credit report ) 4. The date that this debt was incurred ( the one listed on my credit report XX/XX/XXXX is not accurate ) 5. The date of the last payment ( if this information is available, then you'd know that there is no debt owed ) 6. An original copy of the signed contract, application, or other documents providing evidence of my liability and its terms ( verifying that this is my account ) 7. Proof of chain of title to collect on this debt There is no way that I should have to go back and forth between both these companies trying to figure out how and why I owe this money when a company is claiming that I owe a debt and has placed this on my credit report, but can not show me proof that I do.
