Despite my repeated requests for debt validation, including but not limited to documentation of assignment or ownership of the debt, itemized account statements, and legal proof of their right to collect, Aldridge Pite Haan has failed to comply. Additionally, I believe Aldridge Pite Haan has violated the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act ( GLBA ) under 15 USC 6801 and 15 USC 6802, which mandate the protection of my nonpublic personal information ( NPI ) and prohibit its misuse or disclosure without proper authorization. Given these obligations, I suspect my financial information may have been improperly handled or shared during this process, particularly in connection with a charged-off debt. Further, Green v. Portfolio Recovery Associates, LLC, 656 F. ed 1034, 1044 ( 9th Cir. 2011 ), establishes the requirement for collectors to provide clear and complete documentation of their legal standing, which Aldridge Pite Haan has not done. I respectfully request the CFPBs assistance in ensuring Aldridge Pite Haan : 1. Produces proof of assignment or ownership of the debt, a signed original contract, itemized account statements, and an explanation of their legal right to collect this charged-off debt. 2. Demonstrates compliance with the privacy and safeguard provisions under GLBA, including ensuring that my financial information has been adequately protected and not improperly disclosed or mishandled. 3. Ceases all collection activityincluding reporting to credit bureausuntil this matter is resolved.
