I tried to open an investment account in XXXX and CashApp said there was already an account with my social security number, this was concerning because it wasnt mine. I went through all the steps to verify my identity. I send pictures of my social security card. I was working with someone named XXXX and he kept telling me they couldnt open an investment account for me. At this point I was really just concerned that someone was using my info and just wanted confirmation that their account would be closed. That never happened and as far as I know someone is still using my information. Im worried about issues with the IRS. XXXX told me today that he was closing my complaint without resolution. I really just want the fraudulent account closed. I tried to open a new complaint case today since the fraudulent account was never addressed and they refused. They are knowingly allowing someone to fraudulently use my information and I dont seem to have any recourse.
