I have continuously reported IDentity theft issues and have been ignored it seems. I feel I am being forced to try and prove that accounts dont belong to me when in fact it should be up to the creditor to prove that they do. According to the FCRA it is the responsibility of a data furnisher to provide true and accurate information when reporting information to be recorded on my Consumer Report. Furthermore the FCRA prohibits any company that has purchased a debt from its original creditor to provide 3rd party data with regard to an original debt once the debt has bee charged off, sold, or abandoned by its original owner. Even as some on the accounts on my credit are known to be fraud, and were previously removed from my credit report, i find that the removed items in some cases have been resold as bad debt to another company for collection.
