Subject : Request for Deletion of Collection Account Credence Resource Management ( Account # XXXX ) Dear Equifax Dispute Department, I am writing to formally dispute the accuracy of the following collection account currently listed on my Equifax credit report : Creditor Name : XXXX XXXX XXXX Account Number : XXXX This account has recently been deleted from my XXXX credit report following a dispute, which suggests the information could not be verified or was found to be inaccurate. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) 15 U.S. Code 1681i, credit reporting agencies are required to ensure the maximum possible accuracy of consumer credit reports. When a credit bureau determines that information is unverifiable or inaccurate, it must be promptly deleted. Furthermore, per FCRA 15 U.S. Code 1681e ( b ), Equifax has an obligation to use reasonable procedures to assure the accuracy of information.
