I was contacted by a third party company Bureau investment group XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. They claimed they were collecting a debt in collections from HSBC XXXX account. When I said I check my credit often and I dont have anything in collections, nor do I remember that company or having a debt with them, they responded with they are collecting a debt from an account that was closed and written off in XXXX They offered to accept half of the debt at {$320.00} from almost 20 years ago! I explained I dont have a job and worked on clearing my debt a few years ago when I was working and this was not on my credit report to clear up. They were rude, said I would get sent to collections, and sent text message.
