I have been banking with Chime since XXXX. I have been on a fixed income for XXXX years, paid the same amount weekly never missing XXXX deposit. To clarify, Chime has advertised for over XXXX years : overdraft service up to {$200.00} FEE FREE. XXXX Chime began advertising this Fee Free Overdraft service. However here I am XXXX years later and my overdraft has just recently been raised to {$100.00} which I had to inquire and fight for for over a year. WHERE CHIME HAS MISLED THE ENTIRE WORLD IS BY FALSELY ADVERTISING THIS " FEE FREE OVERDRAFT '' TO MEMBERS WHO HAVE CONSISTENT DIRECT DEPOSITS. I have direct deposit yet they refused to provide overdraft that is suitable and necessary for my specific banking needs. The worst of it all is Chimes MyPay option. It's a new service that is FALSELY ADVERTISED EVERYWHERE. TV, ONLINE, NEWS PLATFORMS, Banking Platform, Radio advertisements. Literally everywhere. I will attach screenshots of only a few of these advertisements. So what Chime has done is instead of providing members with the appropriate overdraft services according to their deposit amounts each month, fee free as they have advertised, they instead rolled out a new service titled MYPAY. Now, MYPAY is advertised as : The best way to access your pay.Get MyPay and more when you move your paycheck to Chime. *Get your pay any day, fee-free* *Deposited in XXXX hours or less for free *Credit building, no overdraft fees, and more Now 1st of all it says that the basic requirements to receive Chimes overdraft service titled SPOTME, is to have consistent monthly direct deposits of a minimum {$500.00}. My weekly deposits are over {$500.00}. Yet I can't even get an overdraft amount awarded to my account of over {$100.00}. So MYPAY is advertised as a " FEE FREE SERVICE '' that brings a member their paycheck early or as advertised " gives members access to their paycheck instantly FEE free ''. That's a lie. INSTEAD, WHAT IT ACTUALLY IS, IS A WAY TO MAKE OVER {$60.00} A MONTH ON JUST MY MEMBER ACCOUNT. THATS CORRECT. WHILE CHIME IS FALSELY ADVERTISING FEE FREE EVERYWHERE, WHAT THEY HAVE REALLY DONE IS INSTEAD OF GIVING AN ACCEPTABLE AND APPROPRIATE OVERDRAFT TO MEMBERS, THEY INSTEAD HAVING IMPLEMENTED THE " MYPAY '' SERVICE. SO TO BEGIN LETS SAY THE " MYPAY '' LIMIT I WAS OFFERED IS {$50.00}. SO THEY ARE SAYING THAT I CAN ACCESS " {$50.00} '' OF MY WEEKLY DIRECT DEPOSITED PAYCHECK OF OVER {$500.00}. BUT, here 's the catch ... .THEY ARE GOING TO ONLY LET ME ACCESS PORTIONS OF THE {$50.00} EVERY XXXX HOURS SOMETIMES XXXX HOURS ... .AND, I WILL BE CHARGED A {$2.00} FEE EVERYTIME I ACCESS PORTIONS OF THE {$50.00} TOTAL IM ALOTTED. So Chime will offer say {$20.00} a day, BUT, TO ACCESS MY OWN MONEY I HAVE TO PAY THEM {$2.00}. EVERY SINGLE TIME. SO NOT, {$2.00} TO ACCESS THE ALOTTED {$50.00}, INSTEAD THAT IS {$2.00} EVERY TIME I ACCESS THE XXXX AND XXXX THEY PROVIDE EVERY XXXX HOURS UNTIL THE {$50.00} HAS BEEN AQUIRED. I have contacted customer service on several occasions stating I want a proper overdraft as I have been a member for over XXXX years and for XXXX years I have received weekly direct deposits of over {$500.00}. I have not once received adequate responses. Not once I have been provided with any proper resolution. Now, it is at the point where CHIME IS TAKING APPROXIMATELY {$70.00} A MONTH FROM MY ACCOUNT TO ACCESS A FRAUDULENT OVERDRAFT TYPE OF SERVICE. THAT {$890.00} A YEAR. SO A BANKING COMPANY WHO LOVES TO ADVERTISE AS " FEE FREE '' ANY AND EVERYWHERE INSTEAD IS ACTUALLY THE BANKING COMPANY WHO IS TAKING THE MOST IVE EVER BEEN TAKEN FOR. THATS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. So instead of receiving a proper FEE FREE Overdraft, instead of RECEIVING access to " MYPAY '' weekly alottment for a XXXX time transaction fee of {$2.00}. I instead am paying around {$70.00} a month access my own money!
