I have been receiving daily phone calls from MCM ( Midland Credit Managment ) for the past five months concerning an alleged debt. Despite my repeated requests, they have not provided proper verification of the debt. On XX/XX/year>, I sent a formal dispute letter to MCM asking them to verify the debt in question, as I am entitled to do under Section 809 of the FDCPA. To date, they have not responded to my request, nor have they provided the requested verification. I have sent XXXX more letters which they have ignored. In each letter asking them to stop calling me. I have asked MCM to cease contacting me by phone multiple times, as allowed by the FDCPA. However, instead of respecting my request, they continue to call me persistently, escalating the frequency of calls, which I consider harassment. This behavior has caused me undue stress and anxiety. They even call me at night. Under Section 809 of the FDCPA, I requested verification of the debt, and MCM has failed to provide it. Harassment and abuse : Under Section 806 of the FDCPA, debt collectors are prohibited from harassing or abusing consumers. MCM 's repeated calls, despite my request to stop, are a clear violation of this rule. Failure to honor my request to stop calling : Under Section XXXX of the FDCPA, I have the right to request that MCM cease calling me, and they have ignored that request. I respectfully request your assistance in investigating this matter and taking appropriate action to ensure that Midland Credit Management complies with the FDCPA. I am seeking the following resolutions : A formal investigation into MCM 's violation of the FDCPA. An order for MCM to cease contacting me, either by phone or otherwise, until they provide proper verification of the debt. Any other actions or remedies you may deem appropriate based on the investigation. Thank you for your attention to this serious matter. I appreciate your prompt response and assistance in resolving this issue.
