Heartland Credit Card Processing on XXXX statement notified us of pricing adjustments effective XX/XX/year>. No specific amounts were given, statement was mailed XX/XX/year>. XXXX statement, mailed XX/XX/year>, notified of XXXX XXXX XXXX of {$490.00} on XXXX statement. Which is the first notice of the specific {$490.00} fee. We contacted Heartland on XX/XX/year> for explanation of the fee. We were informed all customers will be charged this fee on XX/XX/year> statement. We objected to the fee and informed them of our intention to terminate our agreement. We were then passed on to their customer retention service. We received an no reply email and have yet to receive a call on this matter. We called a second time to customer service and were told if we terminated our agreement now we would still be charged the fee and then have no means of possibly having the fee refunded in XXXX. We should note that our current contract expired a few months ago and we feel this is an unethical business practice aimed at forcing us into a new long term contract. Given the two calls without any resolution and the fact that customer retention has never contacted us back, we intend on termination of our agreement with Heartland. We also object to the XXXX XXXX XXXX of {$490.00}. Both of these remedies are outlined in our notice from Heartland. Our position is that Heartland has not given proper notice with enough time to make an informed decision. By the time notice of the fee was given on XX/XX/year>, we were already in the XXXX billing cycle. Heartland representative told us everyone receiving a XXXX statement will be charged the {$490.00} XXXX XXXX XXXX. Unfortunately for us, Heartland has access to our bank account and will remove the fee without our consent.
