I am submitting this complaint against OneMain Financial and the credit bureaus ( XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX ). OneMain Financial is reporting on my credit file without following federal law. Under 15 U.S. Code 6802 of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act ( GLBA ), a financial institution must provide three specific disclosures before sharing my nonpublic personal information with non-affiliated third parties such as credit bureaus. These include a clear notice, an opt-out option, and instructions on how to opt-out. I never received any of these disclosures from OneMain Financial. Therefore, they do not have legal grounds to furnish my personal information to the credit bureaus. I have already sent a cease and desist / opt-out letter to the furnisher, and Ive submitted disputes to all three bureaus. I am requesting that this account be removed immediately from my credit report. Please enforce compliance and ensure deletion of this unauthorized tradeline.
