I am disputing a debt that XXXX XXXX claims I owe under a solar equipment lease. ( Contract # XXXX ) The company has breached its contractual obligations ( Section 16 [ b ] of the lease ), rendering the contract invalid. Despite notifying them in writing on multiple occasions ( XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX ) of the incomplete solar installation and the invalidity of the lease, they continued collection attempts and have now negatively impacted my credit report. XXXX filed for Chapter XXXX bankruptcy in XX/XX/XXXX. At that time, they had not completed the solar installation on my property. My lease was inherited by a new company, which goes by " Launch Servicing , LLC '', " XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX '' or in some cases still " XXXX XXXX, XXXX ''. However, the new company is treating the lease as active and attempting to collect on it, despite the installation never being completed. I sent letters and emails detailing the dispute on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX. They acknowledged receipt but never addressed the breach or validated the debt as required by FDCPA Section 809 ( b ). Despite the dispute, XXXX XXXX reported a negative entry on my credit report. This is in direct conflict with the FDCPA, as they must cease collection activities until the debt is validated.
