I previously notified XXXX XXXX that I am a victim of identity theft and requested that they : Close the unauthorized account and take steps to remove information about this account from my credit files. XXXX XXXX is reporting this account inaccurately across multiple bureaus with different charged off dates. Since then, the account has repeatedly been updated as charged off every month. This is an update in the payment history in which a charged off account should NOT include an active payment history. This inaccurate information falsely manipulates the statute of limitations also a violation of the FCRA. I still have not received written confirmation of the requested actions. As I stated before : I am a victim of identity theft. I recently learned that my personal information was used to open an account at your company. I did not open or authorize this account, and I request that it be closed immediately and removed from my credit reports. I have enclosed a copy of my Credit Report and FTC Identity Theft Report because the information you are reporting is the result of identity theft, and inaccurate. I request that you stop reporting this information to the CRAs, as directed by section 623 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( B ) of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15U.S.C. 1681s-2 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( B ). You failed to investigate this account properly and your neglect has violated my rights. I am demanding deletions of the following account : XXXX XXXXXXXX - account # XXXX - amount {$5700.00} I really do not appreciate XXXX XXXX, XXXX, and Experian doing what they please with my credit report as we know this causes me financial harm. You have a duty to report accurate information only and if it's not accurate it must be deleted. Please send me the METHOD OF VERIFICATION regarding your findings.
