The contract for my auto lease was XX/XX/2020. I cant remember the exact date, but I traded the vehicle in for another almost 3 years ago. When I traded the vehicle everything was paid off, the account said paid in full with a zero balance. That reflected on my credit as well. Then Ally financial sent a bill saying I owed XXXX dollars after everything was paid off. I called them to ask what this bill was for, my account said paid in full. They said my account was paid in full. I even accessed my online account to see if I could pay and there was no payment to be made. I havent received anything from Ally in years, and my credit report has shown the Ally financial account closed and paid in full and in good standing. Never missed a payment. Now all of sudden they are saying I owed XXXX dollars, and closed the account as a charge off and it dramatically effected my score. I havent heard from this company in years and still have no idea why they are saying I owed this when this whole time my credit report said paid in full now its a charge off. Years ago when I talked to Ally they never said what that XXXX dollars was for and was told my account was paid in full.
