I spoke with a representative from a school account I found on XXXX called XXXX XXXX XXXX to explore their offerings and financial benefits. At the time, I was unfamiliar with education options, and during my conversation with a female representative, we discussed what we believed to be the best financial plan, and I ended up signing the paperwork. Later that day at work, I called the representative and clearly expressed, I can't attend this school because my job will not support my attendance at XXXX while also allowing me to provide for myself. However, she tried to intimidate me by stating, Well, you already signed, and not making your payments could lead to court She never informed me that I couldn't opt out of the agreement. I felt lured into this situation, and as a result, it affected my credit report, causing a significant drop in my score. Now, I have two entries in collections on my report : one from XXXX XXXX XXXX for {$11000.00} and another from Ben Franklin Finance related to XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX for {$8300.00}. Due to their misleading tactics, I, as a young XXXX, have missed out on numerous opportunities because I feel scammed and without support or options. I attempted to resolve this by contacting them and even offered to pay the amounts they requested. Oddly, even with my credit card unlocked, they were unable to process the charge.
