On XX/XX/year>, I received an initial communication from Midland Credit Management , Inc. ( MCM ) attempting to collect an alleged debt ( MCM Account # XXXX ). I responded by sending a letter to MCM disputing the debt and requesting debt validation under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) Section XXXX ( b ). In my request, I specifically asked for : The original purchase agreement with the original creditor, XXXX XXXX XXXX, Account ending in XXXX, bearing the signatures of all parties involved. Documentation of the legal transfer of this alleged debt from the original creditor, XXXX XXXX XXXX, to Midland Credit Management XXXX Inc., to clearly establish that MCM has the legal right to collect this alleged debt. MCM has failed to provide the requested documentation necessary to validate this alleged debt. Instead, MCM provided alleged credit card statements. I have sent multiple follow-up requests to MCM reiterating my demand for validation and reminding them of their obligations under the FDCPA to cease collection efforts until proper validation is provided. MCM continues its collection efforts without providing the required validation.
