Consumer Narrative

Here is the email that I sent to Wells Fargo, including the CEO, as well as the NJ Attorney General Hello Im increasing the audience as a sign of my level of desperation to avoid financial catastrophe. Please help?! I had a business credit card under the name XXXX XXXX ending in XXXX. I was dealing with a hardship which caused the payments to go overdue which caused the account to close. I was told that the card was charged off during my last conversation almost a year ago. I have been prepared to deal with a collection agency, since that what happens when a consumer is informed that an account has been charged off. I just was shocked and devastated to see that my personal checking account was just " robbed '' of over {$12000.00} overnight. I called around frantically, and spoke to a XXXX in your XXXX Collections department. She informed me that the account was " charged off but the bank still had the right to go into my personal account '' and just take the money. She was trying to explain to me that there were attempts to call and letters sent informing me of the " payment demand letter '. She kept reiterating that the bank kept calling me at XXXX and sending mail to XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, NJ, which was the original info when I 1st applied for the card. I explained to her that that info was not used in over a year. She kept saying that's the only method the bank had to contact me. I further stated to her that if you had my personal account details since you went and took the money out ( which has now placed me in a major situation with the IRS, since this money was on the way to them ), why didn't the effort to contact me go to my personal phone number and mailing address. She kept repeating herself instead of answering my question. Then she tried to say at the end " oh we called XXXX '' after stating for 10 minutes straight that they're responsibility is only to call the number and address linked to the charged off account. Now common sense would say that if no response was received for something so important, that a deduction would have led to the effort to contact my personal details since they had to be known since the personal checking account was violated with me being properly notified. So when I called her on contradicting herself, she simply just stopped engaging and just kept repeating the same thing over and over. Bottom line is that I need this money put back into my account asap before i run into an irreversible situation with the IRS. Now if the account is not actually " charged off '' I'm more than willing to make payment arrangements to pay down the debt. If it is actually " charged off '' then Wells Fargo needs to update their records accordingly and I will work with the collection agent to whom you have written the balance off. I am in dire need of an immediate resolution as I need to have my IRS account settled by this weekend.
