I am aware of my rights under the fair credit reporting act and request a thorough investigation into these inaccuracies as required by federal law. Recently, the consumer financial protection bureau filed a lawsuit against Experian and Trans Union for it failure to properly investigate consumer disputes citing sham investigations and other unlawful practices. These practices outlined by the CFPB include : Conducting an adequate investigations that failed to address consumer disputes properly. Reinserting previous disputed and inaccurate information without explanation. Failing to notify consumers about investigation results effectively.
