I got a call from XXXX, claiming to be from Experian XXXX monitoring, stating someone in XXXX tried to open a new credit card in my name. They stated they had my addressthey gave me a previous address in XXXX and then gave me the address in XXXXXXXX XXXX where I actually live. They said the card attempting to open was XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, and that my XXXX card was compromised. I asked for the number of the XXXX, and they said that they had to transfer me to another accounts manager. I asked for the number again, and was given a card number allegedly from XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX, but would only give me the first XXXX numbers. When I suspected this was a scam, the man refused to give me a name or a number to reach him and refused to have me talk to a supervisor. In addition he said that since I was not cooperating, he was going to approve the opening of the card in XXXX.
