I disputed a transaction after multiple failed attempts at getting a resolution through XXXX. The shopper bought the wrong item by substituting but did not chat or notify me. So I returned the item back to the store for a refund because the item was incompatible with what my job. I was told that when I returned my item with my receipt that I would get a full refund. I did not get a full refund. I did not receive anything at all. I waited 10 business days like I was told before I disputed it with Cash App. On XXXX XXXX I disputed my transaction with Cash App. I thought everything was fine until they closed my account and said that someone else was disputing a charge on my account when it was in fact me. I tried to verify my identity with them and was not able to. The account is connected to my social security number and was verified previously. I have every document to prove that I am who I say I am. They did not ask me for anything when I appealed my account closure. They denied my dispute and kept my account closed. So now I am out of {$470.00}. My social security checks were coming to this account as well. Im confused because I thought that when you have a problem with a merchant, your supposed to dispute it with your bank after failed attempts. Not my account get closed because of it.
