Description of What Happened Upon reviewing my credit reports from all three bureaus, I noticed that XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX has inconsistently reported an account as follows : Initially, in XX/XX/XXXX, they reported the account to XXXX as " Charged Off / Unpaid Balance Reported as a Loss by XXXX XXXX. '' This designation clearly indicates that the debt had been written off by the creditor. Following this, I disputed the account multiple times with all three bureaus, as the reporting was inaccurate. I even sent a formal letter to XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX requesting a Form XXXX for the cancellation of debt when the account was first reported as a loss. Despite these actions, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX began updating and changing the accounts type and status inconsistently between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. For example : The account was reported as " Open '' during some periods and later updated to " Closed / Collection '', conflicting with their initial designation. The account status also shifted between charge-off and collection across different bureaus, with conflicting payment history and " last activity '' dates. This pattern of inconsistent reporting violates the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). Additionally, given that the account was reported as a loss by the creditor in XX/XX/XXXX, I request that this account not be reinstated, re-reported, or added back to my credit report in the future under any circumstances. Pull My Credit Reports ( XXXXXXXX XXXXPresent ) : I request that the CFPB investigator obtain all my credit reports from XX/XX/XXXX to the present across all three bureaus to review the reporting inconsistencies and ensure proper resolution. XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX ongoing and inconsistent reporting of this account, despite initially marking it as a loss, is both misleading and harmful.
