I am filing this complaint regarding the sudden and unfair removal of income-driven repayment ( IDR ) options, which has left me without a reasonable way to make my federal student loan payments. My student loan forbearance ended in XX/XX/year>, and I intended to enroll in an IDR plan to make my payments affordable. However, due to recent legal and administrative actions, the Department of Education has blocked access to these repayment plans, leaving borrowers like me in financial limbo. I am now being forced to either make payments I can not afford or use personal forbearance, despite the fact that it is the governments policy change that has created this hardshipnot my financial situation. Additionally, repayment plans that are not the XXXX plan are under different legislation and additional XXXX plans should not have been affected by any court injunction of the XXXX plan as the administration has so claimed. This is an unfair and deceptive practice, as borrowers were promised access to XXXX plans and now face financial harm due to their abrupt removal.
