This is reference to a CFPB Complaint ID # XXXX I submitted XX/XX/XXXX to TransUnion. TransUnion took longer than allowed 30 days timeframe to respond without filing an extension. I demand that my original dispute mentioned below be deleted immediately from TransUnion credit report : XX/XX/XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX Notice to Agent is Notice to Principal, and Notice to Principal is Notice to Agent Dear Credit Reporting Agency ( s ), I have reviewed my consumer reports and noticed an alleged late payment has been reported. I am writing to address this inaccurate and incomplete information, as I believe this late payment was incorrectly reported. Failure to Comply with the FCRA and TILA Under 15 U.S.C. 1666b, a creditor is prohibited from reporting a payment as late unless specific procedures are followed, including : The periodic statement must be sent to the consumer with all required information under 15 U.S.C. 1637 ( b ). The statement must be mailed or delivered to the consumer no later than 21 days before the payment due date. I request that you provide proof of compliance with these requirements, including : 1. Accuracy of Information - 15 U.S.C. 1681 ( e ) and 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2 ( 7 ) Under 15 U.S.C. 1681 ( e ), when preparing a consumer report, a consumer reporting agency must follow reasonable procedures to ensure the maximum possible accuracy of the information being reported. In addition, 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2 ( 7 ) requires that the furnisher of negative information must provide specific notices to the consumer reporting agencies before reporting negative information. I request that you provide evidence that the furnisher of the alleged late payment followed these procedures before the information was reported to my consumer report.
