Consumer Narrative
I bank with Freedom Mortgage. Via their website, I sent {$50000.00} additional principal. Instead, they took {$7700.00} and applied to interested and future payments and only applied {$42000.00} towards principal. They said they had already fixed it, yet XXXXXXXX XXXX later and it is not fixed. They were NOT pleasant with me on the phone, as if I was putting them out. I wanted it escalated so I could bring to their attention that they are doing this automatically to people and if we are not watching our accounts closely, they are *taking* our money!
