I withdrew a college XXXX plan. I paid {$15.00} to expedite the check. I deposited the check through the ATM on XX/XX/year>. I messaged the bank to see when the deposit will clear and I was told that the check was on hold until XX/XX/year>. All of my items will be returned and I will get overdraft fees. The reason for the check hold is " confidential information that check may not be paid. '' I asked if I can send in something to show that this check came from XXXX XXXX plan that I withdrew and that I even paid for it to be expedited. They said no. I told them that I am going to get return fees, late fees, and other penalties. Is someone can prove where the check comes from, why can't they go off a reliable source. Yet, they do not disclose the " Confidential information. '' In addition, XXXX is apart of the XXXX XXXX plan. This is not something they are unaware of. They are based out of Ohio and also has funds for the XXXX XXXX. This is a scam because my money is low. I am going to be penalized a lot, and they don't even attempt to help! We all know that a bank can see a successful transfer in less than 10 days. The letter says that the " hold was done to protect you from financial harm '' Yet, the hold puts me in financial harm. I never have this issue. My account was overdrawn and I forgot to move money. This is the reason I feel they are holding it. XXXX XXXX is very popular here in Ohio so they are familiar with these checks. If they do not hold all of these checks for 10 days, then why this one?
