I don't have a CashApp account and have never had a CashApp account or any account with Block , Inc and its subsidiaries. Someone used my SSN to create an account with CashApp and used it for nearly {$10000.00} worth of transactions in XX/XX/2024. CashApp filed a 1099k with my SSN and is refusing to correct it. According to them, because I don't know the information for the account that was fraudulently created using my SSN ( like the email ), they have no way to look up the 1099k and correct it. They are refusing to speak with me more about it and will only speak with the police. I filed a local police report but the police have said there is little they can do.
