On XX/XX/year> ( today ), I requested my CD 's ending in XXXX and XXXX are closed and the funds transferred to my account ending in XXXX. ( Referenced Nos XXXX, XXXX and XXXX ) However, only XXXX XXXX was closed. The remaining CD funds of {$540000.00} are in limbo and will result in a loss of interest to me of {$58.00} per day. Moreover, I was told by your agent when my CDs matured that they will continue to earn interest during the grace period at the new grace period rate if the CD is renewed or closed. Im sure the conversation was recorded. I delayed closing the CD because of XXXX ; I am a XXXX veteran. However, today, I was told by a second agent that no interest is paid during the grace period if the CD is closed. This will result in loss of interest to me of {$650.00} and counting until you close the remaining CDs. I made my decision from a XXXX XXXX based on your agents comments. Nobody reads all the terms and conditions of a bank, and you know it. At the very least there should have been a statement on your website that if the CD is closed during a grace period no interest will be paid. We are long term customers of Ally bank and hope you will make a fair and reasonable decision and adjust for the interest we earned during the grace period ; none of our money ever left your bank. It would be appalling if a bank profited from the interest earned by a veteran who was XXXX in service to our county.
