On XX/XX/XXXX I responded to a unauthorized invoice email to my XXXX account. I called the number on the email. This was a spoofing operation that was able to momentarily hack into my computer, locate my XXXXXXXX XXXX password, access my Coinbase account, withdraw {$1900.00} on XX/XX/XXXX ( and XXXX {$100.00} payments on XX/XX/XXXX ), convert it to XXXX on my Coinbase account, and disappear. I noticed the missing {$2100.00} funds from my XXXX XXXX account on XX/XX/XXXX and immediately contacted XXXX XXXX and Coinbase to report the scam. Coinbase was unwilling to track down where the XXXX went, and basically said they're not responsible. XXXX XXXX was able to return the funds on XX/XX/XXXX, and I thought the matter resolved. But just yesterday ( XX/XX/XXXX ) I was notified by Coinbase that they are going after me for " Payment Required : We ran into a problem collecting funds for a recent purchase. Please complete this payment to restore your account '' for the {$2100.00} withdraw. I've just contacted XXXXXXXX XXXX and they will not allow Coinbase to withdraw any funds. I am going to lock this Coinbase account and close the account.
