I need to gain access to the free Transunion site to update my contact information and also release a credit freeze. Over 5 days, from XX/XX/year>- XX/XX/year>, I first attempted to access the website and then called their customer service number for assistance. In the 1st call, after sitting on hold for over 30 minutes, I was told that they updated my email address and that I would receive an email with further instructions from them. I did not receive a follow up email. In the 2nd call, I sat on hold for 10-15 minutes, an auto-attendant then announced that they were closed for the day, and I was disconnected. In the 3rd call, I sat on hold for over 30 minutes, was told that my email was already updated, and that I would not be able to access the website for another 48 hours due to maintenance. I was told that they were not allowed to correct my phone number. After much perseverance, they unlocked my freeze. However, I still can not access the website to verify correct updates and perform other tasks. I escalated to a supervisor who put me on hold and then disconnected. At this time, I have spent about 2.0 hours to attempt to update my information and gain access to the website to review reports, etc. I am unable to access the information, and Transunion has placed barriers to accomplishing these tasks at every step of the way.
