I purchased a car from XXXX XXXX XX/XX/2024. The owner, XXXX XXXX has completely disappeared. The tags on the vehicle has been expired since XX/XX/2024. Ive reached out to the Attorney General via email and was told to retrieve a title bond. However, the tag office is saying that is not possible. The lien holder, Credit Acceptance stopped taking payments on the vehicle due to the car not having a title. Ive been back and forth with the issue for months!! They are in contact with XXXX XXXX but we are left stranded. Today, I decided to check my credit report and Credit Acceptance has a balance of {$3200.00} reporting on my credit report which is inaccurate. I reached out to Credit acceptance and was informed by XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ) that i must have it removed. I asked her why was it placed on my credit report because they stopped payments on the vehicle due to the car has no Title or whatever the issue is regarding the title. I am not the only victim in this situation. Monday Im going to speak to my local sheriff about it. Also, XXXX XXXX ran my credit without my knowledge prior to me buying the car. I asked him why did he ran my credit knowing we didnt came to any agreement yet. I hope my complaint reaches the right hands because this has been a nightmare!! Not only do I have a unregistered vehicle without tags, they are also reporting fraud on behalf of my credit. Please help!!!!
