In XXXX or XXXX of 2024, my XXXX loan was sold to Shellpoint ( New Rez ). The terms of my loan are 20 years no interest per a modification completed by the original mortgage holder. Through all of the sales of my mortgage to mutiple companies, I have never had an issue with a company honoring the original modification until now. Starting in XXXX or XXXX when Shellpoint originally took over the loan, they honored the modification of no interest. In XX/XX/year>, they started charging compound interest. I contacted Shellpoint and was met with multiple calls of condescending conversations trying to tell me that interest should have been charged from the beginning. I finally called back and spoke to another representative who finally asked for the modification documents, which were uploaded to their portal as requested in XX/XX/year>. To this date, I am just receiving letters stating they are working on it with no resolution or change to my account. As of last week, I was sent a XXXX document stating interest was paid when in fact, it was not and is being disputed. I have continued to pay the amount agreed per the modification and not the interest they are charging.
