I purchased a car from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. In XXXX of last year, I requested a payoff amount. The company provided a payoff amount MORE than what was shown as currently due. When the company was questioned, they claimed it was inaccurate because there were payments pending. Once again, I requested a payoff notice. On XX/XX/XXXX, my current balance was listed as {$9000.00} with NO pending payments. When the company provided a payoff letter on XX/XX/XXXX, the amount due was {$9100.00}. With no pending payments -as this was their excuse last time- I asked why there was a difference in the amounts. The company claimed *this* difference is because per diem interest was added. By their own word, Per Diem is {$4.00}, but {$120.00} was added to my balance ON THE SAME DAY THE PAYOFF WAS REQUESTED. Their online portal also charges double fees and the company does nothing to fix this issue. This company is predatory and blatantly lying to consumers.
