I used to bank with Wells Fargo, but recently switched to a different bank due to someone getting access to my account and emptied out my checking and saving account. I think this was an inside job due to them also taking my savings account. When I called, one of the bankers acted like it was normal. Whoever these people were, they were able to spend at stores I've never shopped at and had the nerve to buy driving passes in New York. Wells Fargo acted like this was my fault. It has taken me months to close these accounts and get some of my money returned. I basically had to threaten them to get the ball rolling as to how my account was hacked. This bank had a huge data breach where their customer 's very personal information was released. I believe I was a victim of this bank. Now, I don't know how many people have my information. Someone very recently opened an account at XXXX with my address, name, and social security number. I believe it's due to this data breach. Before this happened, I replaced my debit card 4 times due to fraud, but it continued to happen. This bank is ridiculous and have ruined my life. Thank goodness I'm with another bank that actually gives me alerts and declines the transaction until I say it is from me, unlike Wells Fargo. Do not bank there.
