I was a XXXX member at the XXXX, Massachusetts branch for many years. I had noticed in my credit report that in XXXX, XXXX XXXX in XXXX, XXXX had listed my account as a Charge-Off. I tried disputing the matter through TransUnion since it had been 7 years and TransUnion denied it. I reached out to XXXX several months ago and they stated they never listed anything as a Charge-Off and that I was in good standing with them, so, I tried disputing the matter once more and TransUnion denied once again. I called XXXX on Friday XX/XX/XXXX and they said that my checking account had a negative balance of around {$150.00} and told them I had paid this off years ago and that no one notified me that I owed any money on the account. The sales representative spoke to collections department and collections said they said I didn't owe anything and was not sure why I had a charge off to begin with since I didn't owe anything. The supervisor of collections also couldn't see anything and couldn't figure out why I had a charged off account. This greatly upset me because it has impacted my credit for a long time and was falsely reported by the bank and had a false charge-off reported which is unacceptable.
