I am disputing the interest charged on the purchase made on XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX for {$1200.00}. This charge was for Tickets to the XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX game that was played on XX/XX/XXXX ( see attachment XXXX Statement ). This transaction qualifies for the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX promotion for 6-month interest free financing as it met the following criteria : Purchase was greater than {$250.00} Purchase was made at XXXX Purchase was for an XXXX Ticket Reference the following attachments XXXX Card Terms and Conditions and XXXX Email Confirmation of Ticket Purchase XXXX The first interest charge appeared on my XXXX Statement ( see attachment XXXX Statement ) which I received notice of via email on XXXX ( see attachment XXXX Email that Statement was Ready ). I first noticed the interest charge on XXXX and immediately called the credit card company at XXXX ( see attachment XXXX XXXX XXXX ) As of the date of my call, 49 days had elapsed. During the call, I spoke to a representative named XXXX. He indicated that he had seen this type of glitch happen before and he was going to request the purchase be recoded. He advised me that he would call me back mid-next week and advise me of the status and recommended waiting to file a written dispute ( as indicated in the Terms and Conditions ) until I heard back. XXXX provided me with claim # XXXX. Prior to XXXX calling me back with an update, I received a letter from Comenity acknowledging the claim and indicating they would provide me results within 90 days. Due to the acknowledgement letter, I did not submit a further written dispute. The Terms and Conditions for the XXXX XXXX state that I must contact the credit card company within 60 days of when the error first appeared on my statement. The charge of interest for a transaction that qualified for promotional financing on XX/XX/XXXX was when the error first appeared on my statement. I received a letter from Comenity denying my claim on XX/XX/XXXX that was dated XX/XX/XXXX ( see attachment XXXX Claim Denial Letter ). The letter provide 5 possible reasons for the denial of the claim, upon calling ( see attachment XXXX XXXX XXXX ) was told by a representative that the claim was denied for reason 5 It has been more than 70 days since the transaction first appeared on your billing statement. Note : This reason conflicts with the time provided to file a complaint in the terms and conditions mentioned above of 60 days of when the error first appeared on my statement. I submitted additional documentation to Comenity on XX/XX/XXXX to further support my dispute and additionally paid off the balance in full on XX/XX/XXXX including all accumulated interest.
