Old account with XXXX Department store that went bankrupt, there were fraudulent charges in disputed, but the bank the store was dealing with after the bankruptcy would not listen, negotiate and failed to remove the charges. Then sometime last fall I was unfairly sent to collection by Midland Credit Management for the amount of {$1700.00} that grossly exceeded the " {$420.00} expense balance made by me '' that I can recall was due on that account. My fair credit act right was violated. I contacted them via phone left a detailed message citing 15-USC-1692-G no reply. Then I wrote a letter again citing 15-USC-1692-G on XX/XX/scrub>/2024 mailed it certified and was delivered, but never get any response instead MCM reported me to collection. The amount that they claimed is grossly inaccurate, and I asked for the following Debt Validation and as of today still no answer. Here are some of the points I made and requested ( 1 ) I want you to send me a detailed list of the history of payments made by me on this account. ( 2 ) I want to see the signature that I put on a contract guaranteeing that I pay this creditor. ( 3 ) I am asking to see that, has there been any insurance claim filed on this account. ( 4 ) I want to see proof that you have the chain of title to collect on this debt. Thus, I am seeking help from CFPB for this violation from MCM. I want MCM to take action by sending me a certified letter to forward to the three credits bureau as proof to erase that negativity on my credit report.
