On XX/XX/2025 I have received a CashApp card issued by XXXX XXXX in my residence mailbox. I have never requested a debit card from CashApp and have an active account with my legal name opened long time ago, although I don't actively use it currently. I have reached out to CashApp support over the phone and they've said that they can only discuss fraud over the email. They have requested me to upload front and back of the card I've received over the secure link sent over an email, which I did. They have asked several more questions that I gave answers to : 1. My full legal name is XXXX XXXX. 2. The name on the Cash App card I have received is also " XXXX XXXX ''. As well, as the name on the Cash App account XXXX XXXX, that I have never opened. 3. I have been living at my primary residence address for almost 4 years now. 4. The fraudulent debit card I have received on my address has the following number : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. CashApp support has informed me over an email have opened the case XXXX on XX/XX/2025 for my complaint. However, since that they just went silent and don't provide me any update neither over an email, nor over the phone or chat. They completely ignore all my requests and do not communicate with me. Adding to the problem is my personal data has been stolen, including Driver License number, bank account numbers and SSN. I've been dealing with Identity Theft for the past three weeks. I have submitted a police report ( XXXX ) and the identity theft report to the FTC ( FTC Report number XXXX ). As a victim of identity theft, I rightfully request CashApp and XXXX XXXX to close the fraudulent account of XXXX XXXX that was opened using my stolen personal information. According to California Penal Code Section 530.8 ; Fair Credit Reporting Act Section 609 ( e ) [ 15 United States Code 1681g ], I have the right to get copies of documents relating to fraudulent transactions or accounts created using my personal information. I also have the right to request closure of such accounts. CashApp and XXXX XXXX are interfering with the Penal Code and my rights as an Identity Theft victim. I would really like to resolve this matter without involving lawyers, so I hope CFPB will be able to help me in this complicated matter. Thank you, XXXX XXXX.
